Potential Significance

1

Sense of Community Belongingness

Arts and culture can improve and enhance the quality of life in the community, in which simultaneously providing public involvement can bring personal enjoyment, wisdom, and intellectual and emotional experiences.

“It unites people from various social and ethnic backgrounds, regardless of age, nationality, or religion, to a common ground that promotes understanding and acceptance of different cultures” (Dick, n.d.).

Additionally, it promotes economic growth and helps equip artists to showcase their talent in more creative, imaginative, and productive ways.

Promotion of Local Arts (#lovelocalPH)

The promotion of arts to the local community is an avenue for local aspiring artists to increase their exposure and express themselves creatively and freely. In doing so, the people can view their works of art which reflect the artist’s ideas and thoughts, to appreciate and admire not only its beauty but their meaning as a whole. Additionally, through promoting our local arts in the community, we are somehow preserving it, and it is the best way to make the local arts vibrant and globally competitive.

Many Gen Alpha today are pacified by devices or gadgets at such a young age as it is interactive for them. Promoting local arts on various platforms will help expose them and unlock their innate creativity and uncover who they are — their mindset and values.

Boost Local Tourism and Travel

Art plays a crucial role in promoting and boosting local tourism. It is considered a healthy and positive way of engaging the public to appreciate local destinations with their own unique story that can contribute to making a particular place alive.

Attractions such as historical sites, museums, galleries, murals, concerts, and more attracts more tourists globally. Through these, the tourists can truly experience art interactively and memorably.

Education

As the project also offers educational activities, it is open for scheduled school trips to give hands-on experience with students and explore different types of humanities.

Workshops and webinars will invite relevant artists, and educators who can provide insights into a particular field/form of art.

Open Platform for aspiring artists

The Covid-19 pandemic has heavily impacted every industry, especially the world of art. Thus, many exhibitions, museums, art fairs, and workshops are indefinitely put on hold.

At the same time, the societal connection to art has become immensely challenging, especially for aspiring artists.

However, it is no surprise that many artists have shifted to social media like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, a website for art portfolios, virtual exhibitions, and more as their platform, finding new ways to innovate, express themselves, increase their exposure, and stay connected globally to bring art as an inspiration and hope to the communities in the face of recent challenges.

Additionally, It has drastically changed how artists, viewers, and potential buyers interact with each other to the works of art as it radically fuels the economic growth as well. Indeed, the more experiences and interactions artists have with the world, the more their art is influenced and potentially strengthened.

Employment

As the project requires manpower, skilled workers from various fields have now found themselves without gainful employment due to changes in market conditions.
